How much should I feed?

They Love It Raw Dog Food

Last Update 9 months ago

Please take a look at our online feeding guide here https://www.theyloveit.co.uk/feeding.html.

Puppies are fed a larger amount of food over 2 or 3 meals day. As a general rule puppies from 8 weeks to 12 months are fed 5.5% of their current bodyweight and then that should be decreased across a couple of weeks to 2.5% of their body weight once they are 12 months and over.

Your dogs age, health and other factors like the summer / winter and levels of activity will affect their food intake so keep an eye on their feeding and adjust as needed.

You should be able to feel your dogs ribs when running your hand along their side and they should have a waist.

It's better to weigh the food or use a measure instead of guessing the weight, as it’s easy to over feed.
